Il est notamment connu pour son remix de Waves de Mr. Probz, qui s'installe en tête des classements de vente dans de nombreux pays européens au printemps 2014. Son remix de Prayer in C du groupe français Lilly Wood and the Prick connaît le même succès.

Biographie

La musique électronique a joué un rôle majeur dans la vie de Robin Schulz depuis sa plus tendre enfance. Son père était un DJ renommé dans les années 1980. Schulz lui-même a acheté son premier tourne-disque à l'âge de 15 ans.

Il a acquis une notoriété en 2013 grâce à divers remixes de singles à succès. Le remix du top dix néerlandais Waves de Mr. Probz a attiré beaucoup d'attention sur sa page SoundCloud. Sa version est sortie en single en Allemagne au début de 2014 et peu de temps après aussi en Autriche et en Suisse. Dans les trois pays, le mélange est arrivé au numéro un dans les charts simples. La chanson est ensuite sortie dans toute l'Europe. Il a également atteint le numéro un en Grande-Bretagne, en Suède et en Norvège, et numéro trois en Finlande, au Danemark et en France. Il a également été nommé pour un Grammy Award dans la catégorie Meilleur enregistrement de remix à la fin de l'année.
